The story follows Baylee Curtis, the youngest of the crew. How the death of her parents and being raised by her brothers and the gang on the east side affected her everyday life. Growing up Greaser isn't easy, especially for a twelve-year-old girl who's desperate to belong yet determined to prove she can stand on her own. Every day is a balancing act. Between childhood and survival, between loyalty and danger, between keeping quiet and fighting back. With tensions rising between the Socs and the Greasers, Baylee finds herself pulled deeper into a world of violence, secrets, and choices that no kid should have to make. If she slips up, even once, the state could step in and tear her family apart for good. Can Baylee keep herself out of trouble long enough to hold her family together? Or will the streets of Tulsa swallow her whole? This is a fan fiction based on the book/movie 'The Outsiders'. I do not own any of the original main characters from either series. This is the first fan fiction that I have ever written, and let it be known I am not an English major, so I apologize in advance for any grammatical or punctuational errors. Dallas Winston is, in short, a don't give a flying crap type guy. He's pretty picky on who he puts his time into so unless you're really hot or in his gang chances are you won't catch his eye. Katie was none of those things. She wasn't drop-dead gorgeous, a gang leader or member, she was, in a word average. She was actually rather shocked that she caught //anyone's// attention. After all, she rarely went outside and when she did it's not like she was spotted immediately. Dallas, also known as Dal or Dally, liked being out, in fact, he got anxious when he was kept in one place for too long. ew i'm terrible at this. just read the goddang story.
