In "Rhaenyra The Golden" I promised only one-shots and a break from this fandom, but I am a dirty liar. I swear this happens every single time I start writing House of the Dragon fic. I sit down with one clear idea in mind, fully convinced I know where the story is going, and somehow I end up with two. The same thing happened with "The Rogue Prince Come Again" and "HIMYF - Targaryen Edition", so at this point I really should know better than to fight it. So far, we've wandered through Dorne, Driftmark, the Stepstones, the North, and even Yi Ti. And now-whether I like it or not-we're heading into my least favorite region of all: the Riverlands. I have complaints. Many of them. But the story demanded it, and I've learned that arguing rarely works. This fic is me unapologetically playing cupid, rearranging pieces, and indulging a little too hard in character dynamics. Somewhere along the way, I also circled right back to my Sims tendencies, because apparently I cannot help myself when it comes to orchestrating the chaos that is Westeros. She was able to raise and love her as if she were her own child for many years, but she didn't keep the child away from learning about her biological family and parents. Everything was good for them, until something came to shake their peaceful life awake. Or rather someone.
