Over 100 years ago, Azulon's younger sister, Princess Azami, disappeared while on a trip to visit the Earth Kingdom city of Ba Sing Se. Her entire ship vanished without a trace, and the fate of the young Princess was never determined. Until now. Present day; the Fire Nation is winning the war against the Earth Kingdom and the Water Tribes. The Avatar has finally returned, after a century in hiding, and with him comes someone the world had long believed dead. How will the the Princess react to a world at war, when she never even knew it happened? --- Book 1; Finished. Book 2; In progress. Note; My first fanfic so tbh expect at least some, if not a lot of cringe writing. I wholeheartedly welcome any criticism to help improve the writing or the narrative, just try and avoid outright bashing of the story if you can. This will largely follow the plot of ATLA, with probably only a little deviation in the main story. Don't expect a word-for-word repeat though, as I'll often want to add a twist to work within the narrative I'm trying to tell. Also worth noting that I am going to mess with the canon a LITTLE, just to help fit the context of the story. As with any and all ATLA fics, I solely own Azami and her character, everything else belongs to the original creators of ATLA. Book 2 but if it was filled with Zutara fluffiness, Sokka's sarcasm, Toph's roughness, Aang's childish worries, Sage's sass, and of course, tea! All invasion plans, libraries, and lake laogai put aside for awhile to enjoy Ba Sing Se without Long feng's Dai Le, Joo Dee's bulging eyes, and Guru Pathik's chakras. The hundred year war is over, Zuko is Fire Lord, Toph has opened a metalbending school, Aang's fulfilling his Avatar duties, Sage and Sokka are moving back to the Southern Water Tribe, but where does that leave Katara? There are too many secrets Zuko still doesn't know. When the Defender was claimed dead, the Red Shadow Demons found the chance to complete another mission. *This dosent follow the ATLA show* after 3 years a pregnant Sam finds her way out of the portal, finally going back home seeing her mothers atleast thats what she thinks. She leaves the portal only to find out its been 650 years since shes been in that portal. Her mothers wouldnt leave her in there for that long! After some help from a waterbender named Katara and a water tribe boy named Sokka she was on her way to a land her mother created "Kyoshi island". She quickly finds her way there with some help from her mother Rengi, and meets the kyoshi warriors. Once they figure out who she is, she trains them to be better then they ever have been. After a year the avatar has been announced to be alive, and decides to come to the island to ride the Elephant Koi. But soon after he comes, the fire nation comes, they thought only Former prince zuko was there but little did everyone know princess azula followed him and captured Sam. "Father dont kill her, i want her to be my full time servent" Sam looks at her shocked "Very well then Azula, GUARDS YOU HEARD HER!"

Over the years, the Fire Nations dominance has only increased. With this increased power created more sinister Fire Lords. This began three generations of monsters, starting with Fire Lord Sozin, who was able to orchestrate the Air Nomad Genocide, wiping all airbenders out of existence. Then his son Azulon rose to power continuing the cycle of cruelty, and then Azulon's youngest son took the throne, Ozai, the current Fire Lord, Ozai is a cruel and vindictive man who must be stopped. The current Fire Lord has three children. The eldest being a son, Zuko, better known as the banished prince, and the twins, Azula who is the older twin, and the gem of the Fire Nation, Kadeia. Ozai had made a crucial mistake, with his youngest, he did in fact, attempt to shape her in his image, but he forced her to become the monster she is today, and the resentment the teen holds for her father is immense, she often remembers the words she had been told as a little girl... "In our family, your own blood can be your greatest enemy." ⚠️Odviously I don't own anything other than the few OC's I have in the book.
