Zuko has just joined the 'gaang' at the Western Air Temple, which is where he formally meets Sokka. The two quickly become good friends since the age gap is so small, but soon they realize they don't want to be just friends.

❝They used to say repeated dreams were a sign your soulmate needed your help. Do our soulmates need us?❞ ❝You're just quoting Gran Gran,❞ Sokka grumbles. ❝We don't have soulmates.❞ ❝But what if we do?❞ Sokka turns his head to where the slit in the tent has parted open from the wind, allowing him to see where a campfire is burning outside. He has nightmares of a mother he's never met leaving, of a weight of failure so deep in his chest he can't breathe, of pain ripping across his eye, burning its permanent mark into his skull. Katara has nightmares of drowning underwater- encasing herself in ice for a lonely eternity. They aren't real. They don't come from soulmates. Sokka and Katara are just unlucky.

Sokka and Zuko become closer and closer until they become too close. They don't know how to handle their emotions and pent up feelings for each other but they don't know how the others would react either. When Just a note Zuko is 16 in the series and Sokka is 16 at the end of the series and beginning of the comics they are both 17! They are both of consenting age!

Sokka thought the day was going to be good... until he got to the tea shop and saw a certain Fire Nation prince. In a desperate act to not be thrown in jail for the rest of his life, Zuko tells the Water Tribe boy that he can follow him around to prove that he doesn't want the Avatar anymore. What follows is a string of events that form an unlikely bond between the two boys. ----- Little bit more context, this is a canon divergent AU where Sokka stays in Ba Sing Se instead of Katara in book 2. Nothing before that point was changed. So this is a fanfic from my AO3. It's still a WIP but there are hardly any Zukka fics on this site that I just wanted to share mine. In an alternate universe, Sokka is a thief on the run in the streets of the Fire Nation. He and his companion, Momo, are in on this together. He stumbles upon a cute boy in the market one day. - Ever since Lu Ten, Prince Zuko has been locked inside the palace walls while his uncle tries to find him a suitor/suitress. His friends, Toph and Katara come up with a plan to help him escape. He gets into trouble outside and someone mysterious comes along to save him. - Zhao is appointed Adviser for Firelord Iroh and the Vizier is determined to overthrow him with three wishes. Will his plan work?

Sokka is a werewolf who hates vampires. Hates them. But everything changes when Zuko, the emo vampire new kid, worms his way into Sokka's heart.

ON GOING Fire lord Zuko has a new born daughter named Izumi. Mai is her mother, but she died in childbirth. Leaving Zuko to raise her in his own, but his friends help him out a little. But his childhood traumas still linger. Along with being told he was lucky to be born, but right now what's hurting the most is he'll become like his father to Izumi and being told having romantic feelings for another male is very wrong. Most of these feelings go towards Sokka, new chief of the southern water tribe. How will Zuko deal with all these emotions at once? Will he be the good father he wants to be? Will he be able to run the fire nation and raise Izumi at the same time? ❤️this takes things from ATLA, TLOK, and the comics. Then possibly other books from the ATLA books the creators have published. However nothing they confirmed outside of the books like Sokka and Zuko's "falling out." Though there will be some of my non cannon headcannons. Enjoy!💙

This is a modern au focused mainly on Zukka. There is no bending in this au. i do not write smut, so there will be none of that in this story.

Zuko threw up his arms in aggravation. "I don't know what I'm doing!?" He slumped down onto the foot of Sokka's bed, holding his face in his hands. Confused at the candor of his former rival, he lifted a hand to pat his shoulder. One tap...a hesitation, then a couple more taps, "That's rough, Buddy."
