Sequel to 'Even Now, It's You'
Yn is thirty nine and for the first time in a long time her house is becoming quieter. Yn throws herself into the only things she knows how to control. Her career. But somewhere along the way Yn realizes she's ready to open her heart again.
Then she meets Jonathan. He's everything Yn could have asked for in a man and for the first time since her divorce she allows herself to become comfortable with someone again.
She starts to believe that maybe she's finally ready to love somebody new. Until something starts to feel... missing. The more time Yn spends with Jonathan the more she begins to notice the little things.
The way he looks at her, the way he talks to her, the way he makes her feel. And then she realizes the truth. She didn't fall for Jonathan because he was the man she had been waiting for.
She fell for him because in more ways than she wants to admit he reminds her of Beyonce.
___
Meanwhile forty eight year old Beyonce has buried herself in her music. To the world she's never been better. She's writing songs that break records, performing for millions, and giving the world exactly what it wants.
But when the lights go out and the crowds disappear Beyonce returns home to her studio and writes about the woman she never managed to leave behind.
She writes about the way Yn used to make her feel. She writes about the love they shared. She writes about the affair that destroyed everything. She writes about the consequences of losing Yn.
And most of all she writes about the one person who still occupies every corner of her heart. Four years have passed. They've both changed. They've both built lives without each other.
But sometimes no matter how far you run from the past your heart knows exactly where it belongs. And maybe this time finding their way back to each other won't be about returning to the love they had...
Maybe it'll be about learning how to love each other all over again.
