Stranded in an unfamiliar land, Silver has to find his friend before Mephiles can. With no idea of where he is going, Silver runs into Eggman- not knowing that Mephiles is following his every step and acting as his shadow as Silver tries to find his friend. Time is short for both parties- secrets will be revealed, old memories rekindle like embers on a fire, and one girl must not cry or the world as they know it will be gone forever. Mephiles was somehow saved from being destroyed with Solaris and was again trapped in the newly fixed Scepter of Darkness. Now he has been set free by someone who broke the Scepter of Darkness again, but something wasn't right. Losing all his abilities, he was forced to listen to the one who pulled him out in order to get them back. He stands by Princess Elise the Third now, guarding Iblis' last vessel until he and his savior find Iblis once again. But later on, Mephiles will soon realize the world he is now living in. Together with Princess Elise and his savior, he will see there is more than just the darkness.
