When Aganju travels through a dusty village, she meets an orphaned teenage boy, Ibeyi, and this meeting changes both of their lives. Aganju is Orisha, practitioner of an ancient magic, on her way back to the Eye, where humans have studied for hundreds of years. Ibeyi is 14, awkward, and stands out in many ways, but mostly because of his appearance. The Above is the story of Ibeyi as he studies to become an Orisha at the Eye. It is a story about chosen family, about gender and the adventure of self-discovery. It is about the difficulty of defining oneself in a world full of preconceptions. But mostly, Ibeyi's story is about how the power of empathy can change the fate of multiple worlds.

I'm not a big fan of knowing about a story before hand so read it to find out what it's about or don't it's cool. I am honestly unsure about this entire story. I didn't exactly have much in mind I was kinda just writing. Uh, I think I did a decent job at telling a story about someone with a disturbed past who has a robot companion. Out of everything I want to translate to the reader, I think just leaving them hanging with unexplained things is the best because the story is long in the sense of overthought lore for this world. I think leaving the story with questions kinda is the best thing for this story. It was a good learning experience, I have another story in mind that's a little more based on reality and has actual planning for it. Well anyway, this story is a representation of my ability to create so I hope it's a good read. P.S. I was a little high.

The following is some of the endless story ideas that pop into my head. I include a brief summary of the idea and a list of potential points of inspiration. This is mostly to declutter my mind, but feel free to let me know which ideas are your favorite! Please don't steal my ideas.

The Dawning and the Dreaming is an exploration into a potential near future- one characterized by sustainability, community, and hope. Several stories, each told from a different perspective, all separate and yet, much like us, linked throughout time and space.

In a sunlit, beautiful world where bioluminescent vines thread through neon-etched streets, the Thompson family is about to discover that every spark of creativity carries the power to heal. Angela runs a bustling farmers' market stall with herbal jams that taste like memory and hope. Sixteen-year-old Rosa studies at the Academy of Aurora, designing garments that literally breathe with emotion. Young Shawn hides behind geometry puzzles-until his quiet genius becomes the missing piece in Rosa's dazzling capsule collection. But when a rival plagiarizes Rosa's work and frames Shawn, their world threatens to unravel. From rooftop gardens to holo-lit runways, family rituals to community-woven healing threads, the Thompsons must summon courage, forgiveness, and self-belief to turn betrayal into brilliance.

Debating over what's truly important for her. Fighting against the nagging murmurs of her core directives. Learning to solve problems with more than a simple swipe of her trusty blade. And exploring the nigh infinite possibilities that NeoVen has to offer to her kind and her kin. That night... Poor choices were made by everyone... Hell! Some even chose twice.
