Born from the union of a clanless wanderer and Tayrangi hunter, Va'layha te Payrin Sum'ite was raised to belong in two vastly different worlds. Her mother taught her to tame Ikran and wield arrows. Her father entranced her with stories during the daily eclipse. She wanted both things equally. Until grief complicated her path. It's been 16 years since her mother lost her life in The Battle of Ayrum Alusing---almost 14 since her father vanished from their tent in the night without a trace. Though she remained dedicated to her training, she could not bear to stay in one place. When she rode, she heard her father's stories lingering on the wind; her bones ached to follow his path. Her cowardice - or perhaps it was courage - led her to the scarred forests of the Western Frontier. The Sarentu were both fearsome warriors and spoke in wise tongues. Before the Battle of the Hallelujah Mountains, the RDA's TAP (The Ambassador Program) took in children who were abandoned by their clan and given a chance at life. Or so they were told. The children know nothing about the outside world of Pandora but only what they are taught. They were chosen to help the indigenous and give them a chance at a real life.

*Based after the games and DLCs/Fem Tamtey x So'lek/Not completely lore accurate but I'm trying to be xD* It's officially been one month since Tamtey was saved from Major Bukowskis grasp, immediately taking off to the Heart of the Plains to inform the Zeswa with the Sarentu. Life has been nothing but politics and strategies in case of further attack. Having nothing more to contribute for now she's allowed some free time by the Clans in which she sees as the perfect opportunity to properly go tell So'lek Thank You after saving her, one less rushed, before meeting up with Rasi and Teylan in the Spires. The future of the Clans uncertain, but at least they have Zangke.

Also posted on ao3 Sänume was never meant to exist. She was not Na'vi, not human. Eywa had marked her in a way that nobody could understand. Some people thought it was a thing. Others were not so sure. Her brother, So'lek was the one who never doubted her. He called her his shadow. She followed him everywhere. For some time that was enough. Then the war started. When Toruk Makto asked the clans to fight So'lek. Promised to come back. Sänume stayed behind. He kept his promise. She did not. Their clan got burned to ashes. Their people got killed. Sänume lost everything in the chaos, the ikran that was connected to her soul. When the forest became quiet she was all alone. The other clans did not see her as one of them. They saw her as someone who was too close to the enemy. So she learned to survive on her own without a home without a clan without anybody. While So'lek is sad, for a sister he thinks is dead Sänume moves quietly through Pandora. She is becoming something sharper and harder to break. Eywa does not mark people without a reason. Some bonds are not meant to stay broken.

Will she be able to allow herself to open up to other people again? After how she lost her dear ones on Earth in the blink of an eye? But tbh her name is barely mentioned anyway.) The only reason this book is not an actual x reader is because I felt like I made the MC a bit too complex. So it felt a bit wrong to call this book an x reader. But if you don't mind a reader with too much backstory, this book is for you! And if you want to read this as an x oc that's great as well! Anyway I hope it makes sense. I don't own Avatar or the characters. I only own my OC's and their backstories. Enjoy!
