The storm gate, the thick spools of dense, dark wall of cumulus clouds that stood menacingly over the seeming never-ending depths of the lakoda lake. None of us know truly what lies beyond the storm gate, knowledge of that kind is prohibited for reasons unknown. If the person in the bed next door let out even a mere whispered word of the land beyond the gate, you'd wake the next morning to see the sheets folded neatly, the personal trunk empty and the person gone. Castella Winters thought her world was normal until the lightning came - one bold strike of brilliant white light and Castella is thrown into a whirlpool of conspiracy and the shocking truth of her own reality. Coming into contact with the sort of people considered too bold for her nature. Especially the bold nature of the dark haired Cole Knight. Castella has to fight to make it out of this alive.
