Steam fogs the shower glass. Bella rests against the tiled wall, letting the warm water spill over her as her breaths come uneven and fast. Zavyen steps inside, fully clothed, shutting the door with a quiet thud. "Stop running, Bella," he says, voice low and rough around the edges. She looks up at him, eyes tired yet burning. "This is me trying to breathe," she murmurs. He comes closer, water soaking through his shirt, one hand bracing the wall beside her head. She can feel the heat of him even through the steam. "Bella... what do you need?" he asks gently. "You," she whispers. Her fingers clutch his wet shirt and she pulls him down. Zavyen lets himself be drawn in, his hand finding her waist, steadying her. He pauses for a heartbeat, studying her face-her trembling breaths, the exhaustion swimming beneath the want. Then he kisses her. Soft, deep, slow-like he's trying to anchor her. She melts into him, gripping him tighter, the kiss growing heavier, needier. But suddenly Zavyen breaks away. His forehead stays against hers, both of them breathing hard. Water rushes around them, but his voice is steady. "Bella," he whispers, thumb brushing her cheek, "you're exhausted." She shakes her head, reaching for him again. "I'm fine." He gently catches her wrists, lowering them. "No. You need to rest." _______________________________ At Averlyn Institute, Bella Bennett is hidden from the world-diagnosed, confined, and silenced to protect her father's reputation. Everyone sees her as a lost cause except Dr. Zavyen Nozen, the new psychiatrist whose calm defies her fury. He listens when no one else will. She challenges every wall he's built. Their sessions become a charged dance between restraint and longing, truth and illusion. But as Bella's feelings start to take a new turn what will happen when their world will collide with eachother?

Note from Author, "If anyone is reading Fallout FanFiction. This is my own original tale of what happened to the Dwelers of the Augmented Bone Armour, 1 billion years ago" A group of people was able to escape from the planet Mars after receiving news from high-level scientists that the surface world would be destroyed by a Galactic lightning bolt in two months. The middle social groups on Mars built survival shelters to prepare for the disaster, only the shelters contained thousands of years of. resources..as the planet had been aware of the impending catastrophe for over two centuries but failed to warn its inhabitants. Some believe that the changing weather and the fracturing of their civilization were due to the population explosion caused by CO2 breathers, who do not breathe oxygen but instead breathe CO2. The middle social group secured the backing of billions of donors, allowing them to build their shelters and survive. However, only ten people managed to survive in the end. This is their story of how they managed to travel from Mars, 3.1 billion years ago, to Earth. By samuel Hasley Hunwick, co-authors Noah, James, Shelby, Matt, Sunny, Kurt, John, Pat, and Sam.

... Author's Note This story was written slowly, with care. AlienJoy is not about forgetting the past, but about honoring it without living inside it. It is for anyone who loved deeply, broke quietly, and chose to heal anyway. For those who mistook intensity for connection, and later learned that safety can be just as beautiful. Some chapters may feel tender. Others may feel familiar. Take your time with them. This novel is a reminder that growth doesn't always look dramatic-sometimes it looks like breathing again. Thank you for reading.

For every person out there that was quiet, not because they chose to be so, but because they were choking in the smoke. Because their opinions were apparently not worth anything. Because they didn't know just how to say what they felt. For every person that is consumed by their own thoughts, the derision from the outside world only making it worse. For every soul that was drowning in remorse and anguish on restless nights. For every soul that says I love you in the dark and in the mirror because no one else does. For the floors we would pace while anxiety sunk its teeth into us. For the mirrors that we would break while shame echoed its laugh in our caged walls. For the hearts that would ache while loneliness was the only company. For every moment of pain and solitude in this world that feels too cruel for such young and frail minds.

This is not a love story. It is a story about admiration - quiet, disciplined, and transformative. Set between reality and imagination, Akkie & Ree: The Silent Equation explores what happens when art does more than inspire... when it begins to reshape the admirer. Through silence, solitude, and unspoken emotions, two worlds briefly align. One carries experience. The other carries hunger. What follows is not romance - but growth. A subtle, introspective journey about craft, identity, and becoming.
