On the longest night of the year, her skin begins to glow. At midnight on the winter solstice, every tattoo on her body awakens, whispering the same command into her mind: Mend what has been broken. The pinky promise she abandoned. The wolf that once saved her life. The lantern she left burning the night her mother died. And the broken compass she inked only yesterday, because lately, she feels completely lost. She has seven days. Seven days to repair what grief, guilt, and silence have shattered, or the ink will leave her forever, taking the pieces of herself they represent with it. Just vignette I wrote this weekend. I dunno, man, I just liked it so I thought I'd put it up. It's about the summer solstice kind of.

Gia, Estri and Serling are the three rulers. Gia is the ruler of the wolves, Estri is the ruler of the lions and Serling is the ruler if the hawks. Every year they celebrate the summer solstice and every year one of the animals host it. They call it the Solstice of the wolves when the wolves host it and so on. This year it's the wolves turn. But Nito ruler of the of the evil has been recruiting and turning these animals over to his side. When Nito places spies among the animals what will happen. Only one way to find out.
