Carmen DiMazzio is the leader of a criminal organization. Solstice Everest is a 19 year old girl who just hopes her shift at Starbucks can buy her a car. When Solstice thought her day couldn't get any worse, Carmen jumped in. What could be worse than that?

Many demigods suffer from at least one tragedy in their lives. 14 year-old son of Hephaestus Noah Teran's whole life is a tragedy. He has lived at Camp Half-Blood for six years. He hates Ares because when he was six years old the God of War sent one of his sacred serpents to Noah's house after an argument with Hephaestus. The serpent immediately killed Noah's mom when she tried to protect her son. After she died, Noah barely escaped with his life. Hephaestus guided Noah to help; the Hunters of Artemis. Artemis pitied the young boy and decide to bring him to Camp Half-Blood. When he arrived at Camp, Hephaestus showed up and claimed his, also giving him a paracord bracelet that turned into a sword when unclipped. Hephaestus visited Noah once a month until he turned ten, so they got really close. He has a good relationship with everyone at camp and is dating an Aphrodite girl. One month before Noah's 15th birthday, Ares comes to Camp and gives him a quest to find his missing shield. But that isn't it. Ares makes the two other questers his daughter, Cora Trainer, and the serpent that killed his mother. Noah has no choice but to accept the quest. But what happens when he finds out that the whole quest is more than finding a shield? What happens when he finds out that if doesn't find the shield by his birthday, the world will crumble to dust.

Short days, long nights. Long days, short nights. I thought I was fine. I thought wrong.

In this short story, Turac, the young son of a seer (shaman), has his first vision at the Winter Solstice and saves the day. This little tale is the first in a series based around my forthcoming novel "The Eye of Time", to give you a taste of the Neolithic world I have recreated there. The stories are set around Stonehenge at the end of the Neolithic/dawn of the Bronze Age and I have tried to be accurate in spirit to the evidence we have for those times in the British Isles. Sun, moon, and the never-ending Silver doom. It was impossible to cross the Silver Sea. Be it in, on, or under it... The sea was enchanted by a magic older than time itself. It's Christmas in New Marais, and Zeke concocts a new story to get the girl. After taking in a homeless girl, Cole takes it upon himself to make her Christmas wish come true; to give New Marais a white Christmas. But nature has a different plan, causing the gentle snow to rage into a violent blizzard. Cole must do what he can to keep the city warm until the Winter Solstice ends.
