A brief bit of free writing I did while considering all of the loves I've had in life, all of the people I have cared for, the ones who did severe harm and the ones who simply offered love. In keeping with my New Year's resolutions to publish poems of different styles, I have composed a Haiku poem that is autobiographical, heartfelt, honest and sad.

How's it hanging guys?! Here's another poem I have on me ( I think I have 5~6 others left) and again it's kind of dark hehe. The poem was inspired by this video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntbSG6lA1Qc I feel the premise of it is the boy taking away the girls baggage or at least sharing the burden and the music goes really well with the animation. I hope you guys enjoy the poem and the video :3 have fun and be brutal.

You only know you love her when you let her go And you let her go 1/2 - Ashlyn Thompson returns to her childhood town after moving away 5 years ago. Her dad got a job in New York so they had to move, she left all her friends behind. now she's back in town, her grandpa is sick and her grandma can't take care of him on her own so Annabelle decided to come help out and she runs into some familiar faces and one face she's never seen before - This story contains sexual content, foul language, talks a lot about mental health, self harm, violence.

The body is but a transport for the mind. However, if the body were to fail while the mind continues to live, the mind then becomes trapped in the body. Everything becomes nothing to you and nothing becomes everything for you. This story will not scare you immediately, it will not cause you to scream nor gasp. It will create a burden in your heart, a fear you never realized before, one that may haunt you...

Poems from a writer obsessed with flannel and cargo pants

This piece of creative writing is a look into the emotions of 16 year old me. Now 21, I remember sitting in my junior year of high school, not knowing who I was, what I wanted, or what made me happy, and the only thing I wanted out of life in that moment was to feel. To feel like I belonged in the world. Like I had a sense of purpose. Like the world had a spot for me, and me only, to explore and grow in. For the longest time, this wasn't the case. Constant internal, as well as external struggle, plagued my existence for what seemed like an eternity. There were many things, including this piece of writing, that slowly allowed me to voice how I was feeling, even if only to myself at the time, and one piece at a time I began to lay the foundation of the truly happy individual that I am today.
