Yan Luli is a farmer's daughter who's family started having a rough time. A little while after her birthday the concubines selection, which required every unmarried commoner girl between thirteen and sixteen to participate with only a small percentage passing, came along. Yan Luli, who was originally planning to fail on purpose, decided to try since the chosen concubines' family get a large sum of money which would help her struggling family.

In my first full horror book, the characters you'll find are a mix of chaotic and sarcastic badasses. Eldritch gods, vampires, werewolves, demons, etc, all of these creatures and more live within the woods of Appalachia, tucked away in the unknown town of Wolfstar Point. Welcome to Wolfstar Point, Pennsylvania! Where literally nothing is ever normal ... and nor are the people who live there.

A whole community of retired magicians in a whole district of magic folk, and for some reason, no one thought to tell the one guy working in the magic bookstore who has no magic in him whatsoever. Well, not like they had any reason to, right? Not like any crisis ever happened, ever going to.. they only ever used what little magic they had left to (sometimes) get lucky on the capsule machine or to find their lost pets or something. The kid'll probably never have to encounter magic in his life. Right. And then of course his co-worker had to have her parents die, and the bakery had to burn (not the bread!!), and then everything came crumbling down. And for some reason, it's all his fault.
