The people living here leads a drab life, just trying to live as best as they could with middle class jobs and middle class wages. But every single one of these boring people are alive, every single one of them; living a world. And in that world, they are the protagonist. Some might be interested to get to know them. Many won't. She slowly forms a small crush on this new friend, but she's worried that he only sees her as a friend. She ends up needing to go, but she doesn't have any social media, so they make a plan to meet again and use a code name in the description box where you can put the things you like to find others that have the same interests... Does there plain work? Will she see her crush again? Will she ever confess to him? Will their relationship grow as they talk? There's no way of telling unless you choose to keep reading...

seeing the title in lowercase letters, will let you know how promises matter so little to some people. this story is inspired by a personal experience that i went through, being the person on the sidelines, and watching two souls crumble, one worse than the other. the protagonist of this story, jared, has to figure things out for his two best friends, who had been together for such a long stretch of time, but have recently broken up, knowing that he has to cut ties with one of them. he doesn't tolerate dishonesty, and when he finds out a pile of secrets, suffocating in betrayal, he makes a final decision. but is it the right one?
