What if instead of Achilles, a son of Hades fought the Trojans? Was given the choice between a short glorious life, or a long life in obscurity? And, instead of a childhood friend, fell in love with a priest of Apollo who he'd captured as a spoil of war? This is a Nico x Will love story reimagined as Achilles x Patroclus in the book Song of Achilles. It's slow burn, high yearning. Characters are not mine. They belong to Rick Riordan (and some are Homer's).

I strongly believe they were lovers. And they were. Even if you Don't know about Achilles and Patroclaus, I think you'll like to read what they were. What their life looked like. What it meant to be half of each others souls. What it meant, to know someone blind, to recognize someone by the touch alone. To know someone in death too. To smile while taking an arrow to the heart, just because you're getting to follow your beloved to death.

Patroclus and his family move to a new town because people were starting to get suspisicous of his father, and when he starts his first day of his junior year he meets a funny, green-eyed, blonde track star and all of his jock friends and somehow ends up stuck with them for the rest of the year... and maybe longer When Achilles walked through the front doors of his highschool on the first day of his junior year, he wasn't expecting to see a new student with fluffy brown hair and golden eyes, and he certaintly wasn't expecting said boy to be a genius. So, when Odysseyus showed up with the new boy at their lunch table, let's just Achilles didn't mind. In fact, you could really say the opposite. **I'm pretty sure everything I used to make the cover was noncopyright, but if it wasn't and I used something of yours or someone else's I am more than happy to change it :)

Patroclus and Achilles have to join forces with the demigods in order to find their way home when they awaken at the edges of camp half-blood. The Trojan War is still fresh in the minds, despite not knowing how they came to be at the camp. Trust will be tested when a certain god shows up to aid them. It is only through working together that they will be able to return home. Some things will be different, for instance, Percy has never met Achilles. Almost everything, except the plot, belongs to Rick Riordan and Madeline Miller. There are spoilers for the entire Percy Jackson series and Song of Achilles. Canva was used to make the cover.

Like the title says I was bummed about the end of the book so I decided to do something about it

Spin-off fanfic for the Song of Achilles. The story loosely relates to the events in the novel, except the main character is an OC created for this story who falls in love with Ares, the god of war, who did not show up in the book. Anthea, the twin sister of great and mighty Achilles, was born normal and completely unlike her brother. Bearing no god-like abilities or talents she was mutilated by her mother and neglected by her father. After having a fateful encounter with a wounded Ares, their story begins and blossoms. You don't really need to read the Song of Achilles to read this. I can't guarantee that this is 100% historically accurate, but I am always open to constructive criticism. I am also aging the characters up a but so that their relationship is less weird.
