After the battle between Infinite & Dr. Eggman, one day Sonic encounters a phantom ruby in which he became possess by Infinite. To make matters even worse, Blaze fled her own dimension to Sonic's world to warn him of a new threat which are the Seven Monarchs. Hearing this new Sonic & Dr. Eggman team up for the first time with the help of Blaze but this time is without his usual friends.

When their conflicts collide, Shadow and Whisper (along with Tangle) team up to take down Mimic and find out they have more things in common than they realize. Unfortunately, that includes dealing with trauma. And as Mimic tries to use their traumas against them, can they continue to be friends? Or will their memories end up tearing their friendship and themselves apart? This is mainly the original comics in story format, but with one character's early off panel choice from before the comics started changing how and where he acts for the entire story. Follow the freedom fighters and their mysterious ally as they fight the insidious Dr. Robotnik and his forces. "YOU TRAITOR!" "How can I be a traitor when I never allied myself with you in the first place, Julian?" *Warning* Not all Cannon characters will act Cannon in this AU due to choice made by character mentioned above. When Sonic is forced through this, hard times come, and Sonic isn't the same hedgehog he was. Even though Sonic may have never realized, Amy Rose has also been there for Sonic, and cares a lot. She cares so much that she's a little over obsessed, but she's always there for him when he's lost or sad, and so she's going to help Sonic get back to his old self again. But can she help him pick up the pieces when the pieces are hidden?

Welcome to the sixth installment in the Honesty is the Best Policy story series! This story is all about the characters, comic characters or otherwise. As the story progresses, I will add in more and more characters from the Archie, IDM, and Fleetway Sonic comics. Each will have some sort of storyline involving them. I am focusing a lot more on the other characters than Honest this time around, and I will be limiting the point-of-view to one character more often. Due to how many characters are in the Sonic comics, and the fact that they will all have their own plots associated with them, this will most likely be the longest of the Honesty is the Best Policy series. So if you like long stories, you will definitely love this one. King Shadow lost the fight for the throne by Sonic. Sonic's merciful heart banishes Shadow to the outskirts of the kingdom. Shadow swore revenge and leaves the kingdom. He soon sees Knuckles storming away from the master emerald altar after he and Julie Sue get into a big fight. Shadows old feelings for the echidna return and attempts to woo him. Knuckles rejects him and this angers Shadow but he will soon find a relic that will change the echidna.
