Things go good for the two of them until the Choas Council kidnaps Rusty and corrupted the fox's sister for their own personal gains. Now It's up to Nine and Sonic to rescue the cyborg hedgehog and help restore things to order.

Taking place after the events of Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake, Nine (A version of Tails from a different shatter space) kidnaps Squidward thinking that he's the one that could power the paradox prism, so Spongebob and Patrick would have to team up with Sonic and Shadow, to travel through different shatter spaces from the Sonic prime show to stop Nine and save Squidward.

In this 2 part finale for sonic prime, Sonic ends up in a universe where he sees his future Self and would have to team up with him to take down the villain called the, "big man"
