While exploring a hidden cave, Sonic discovers a long lost artifact, unaware that it is the skull of a werehog. Everything goes wrong from there when he accidently cuts himself on one of its fangs, not knowing that the werehog's bite still has a very potent effect. Meanwhile, trouble is stirring as Eggman continues to investigate the reason for Shadow's interference of his last plan to defeat Sonic, unaware of how drastic the results could affect his view of Bygone's greatest villain. (Oneshot) (Werehog AU) (SonAmy) (3,000-4,000 words) Sonic and Chip are having difficulty finding the last two emeralds, which had been separated from the rest on impact. On their search, they come across Amy, who is more than willing to join their happy search party. Sonic tries to get her to stay behind, but she's relentless and follows them. As they set off to find the emeralds, Sonic and his friends have to face a few battles and trails. Will Sonic be able to protect his friends? Or is it himself that needs protecting?

After finding a strange gem in a cave one day, Sonic suddenly goes through strange changes. His senses are heightened, he becomes a bit aggressive, and wakes up every morning with a headache and ripped sports-tape. The others then realize that he is cursed and learn that he's been transforming into a carnivorous werehog every night. Can the other's hurry to reverse the gem's effect on him before the villagers get suspicious?
