Espio had been taken by this mysterious being who has it out for Shadow, teaming with the darkness that lurks in the shadows to take both Silver and Shadow down for good while breaking their reptilian friend. Meanwhile, Knuckles has conflicting emotions about the blue hero, Sonic the Hedgehog, in denial that he should even have such love for him, thinking he didn't deserve the same, Sonic trying to convince Knuckles otherwise.

Silver and Shadow made an enemy and he's back revenge. he takes Silver and wants to break Shadow, and when Sonic and Knuckles get wrapped up in this mess they must find a way to save their friends before someone gets killed. As if they didn't already get enough attention, they become heroes after they save Green Hills from Eggman. Sonic goes from a normal girl who refuses to have friends to a popular girl who has too many friends to count. They find out Eggman is trying to seize 7 gems called the Chaos Emeralds and feed them to some being called Chaos. Knowing that nothing Eggman wants is a good thing, the gang has to stop him.
