Over the past four seasons we found Sonja Percy both loved and despised by fans. Knowing of her near death should have endeared her to viewers. There came a day when I realized how much she could love Christopher LaSalle and that's where this story begins.

Twenty years later the paths of Sonja Percy and Christopher LaSalle cross again. The narrative of their lives unfolds before us with great regret and much to the dismay of them both.

Christopher LaSalle and Sonja Percy were fictional characters that found a place in the hearts of their television fans. Many of us regretted that they were never provided with the love story they deserved so I wrote this one for them and am republishing it upon request.

FBI Agent Sonja Percy goes missing while on assignment. Her former co-workers express shock, fear, surprise and wonder as the trail of her life after NCIS comes to light. No one is more affected than her former partner Christopher LaSalle and her roommate Tammy Gregorio.

Life has a lot of crossroads. Six months after Christopher LaSalle was killed, his former partner Sonja Percy ran into one.

We all saw that spark between Sonja Percy and Agent Chris LaSalle on the levy and the 'kiss less' goodbye at the NCIS office. There were so many unspoken words. Neither realized how much they needed each other until fate put a distance between them and destiny allowed them to meet once again.

This is a continuation of the persalle love story, 'My Heart is Singing', of NCIS New Orleans Agents Sonja Percy and Christopher LaSalle. Several of the characters and historic information from NCIS New Orleans are woven into this story for continuity to which CBS owns the rights. CBS does not buy stories from anyone not currently on their writing team which is disappointing because there are some really good stories up here. Our loss and theirs. Stevie Wonder and Syreeta Wright wrote a tear jerker love song 'I Never Dreamed You'd Leave in Summer'. The day that Christopher LaSalle heard it, his heart could not tolerate the words. He realized that he had made a major mistake and now he would be alone in the quiet nights, in springtime, in summer and winter as well as autumn.

One by one the former team members of NCIS New Orleans have passed on. A late night call changed the life of Christopher LaSalle as none of them could ever imagine.

Distressed from learning of Sonja Percy's decision to leave New Orleans and NCIS, Chris Lasalle struggled with the final realization that she was gone. Six months after she left, he encountered an old photo of just the two them that undid all the healing that he had accomplished. He went straight home that night, tossed, turned and finally dozed off only to find himself in dreamland...

Who could have ever dreamed that a misdirected letter could hijack heartfelt feelings and nearly doom a promising relationship?

Years ago Chris LaSalle walked away from a woman that he cared deeply for. Reconciled with her years later, he thought he would never recover from her death. But every day his partner, Sonja Percy, showed him a different side of her. Always a kind word or a soft touch, joining him on the fitness circuit at the gym or on boy's night out she slowly found a place in his heart. They were able to repair a rift in their relationship but several months later she disappeared then reappeared only to tell the team that she was leaving. Ignoring the pain in his heart, the day came when he finally had to confront it and the hurt was almost unbearable.

We learned early on just how much Chris LaSalle loved Christmas so it would only be fitting that the day would play pivotal in his love life as well.

Chris LaSalle was caught in between a rock and a hard place. His team mate Tammy Gregorio was really worried about him and reached out to two people that she knew who loved him - Duane Pride and Sonja Percy. Who knows where this story will end.

Sonja Percy aced English in high school and college. The last thing she needed was 'New York' telling her about prose. You never have to talk to me again Sonja but that man is your soulmate. Good Night!

Christopher LaSalle faced another horrible tragic loss in life - the murder of his brother Cade. We were all shocked by the conclusion of his quest to find the killer. Some of us still think back to the interaction between Sonja Percy and Christopher in the squad room the day that she left NCIS when he spoke of "what might have been" and wondered as well.
