Life for Sonic has been turned upside down after Kintobor murdered the rest of the royal family and took the throne for himself, imprisoning most of his friends and family--including his siblings, Sonia and Manic--in grueling work camps. Things get even crazier when in a desperate attempt to stage a coup, he gets kidnapped and dumped on the ship of Captain Shadow, a privateer employed by Kintobor. It might have been a little more cut and dry if he weren't falling for the captain and his first mate too. Can Sonic get back and save his friends and his siblings before it's too late?

A series of nostalgic events that occurred before the war in 'The Phases of a Rose' Sonic AU story that is also written by me. This is the pre-war edition, filled with fun times, laughs, heart-to-hearts and sweet romantic scenes between Amy and her two lovers: Shadow and Sonic. Discover how this ambitious pink hedgehog grew to love these two opposing hedgehogs, and how her other friends' relationships unfolded. These events not only follow Amy, Sonic and Shadow's point of view, but the point of views of the other characters in the franchise. These events are are also not written in order. It's a game I give to the reader to piece together the puzzle. Consider this a canon spin-off of the story, and pay attention, for many things here will be referenced. Sonic and his friends find themselves grappling with the challenges of adulthood. With Dr. Eggman's threats diminishing, Sonic searches for a new purpose amidst the burden of always being the world's saviour. Tails, now Dr. Prower, gains commodity as a community doctor, all while delving into life creation experiments, aiding Knuckles and Rouge in conceiving the first ever interspecies mobian. Shadow, in his quest to further explore his purpose as The Ultimate Lifeform, seeks Tail's assistance in harnessing his DNA, to cure all disease, starting with NIDS. Amy, feeling the pressure of time, ends her relationship with Sonic, despite their mutual feelings for one another, as he's simply not ready to settle down and commit. Following Rouge's suggestion, Amy turns to Tails for help with her fertility concerns, however, an unexpected incident alters her plans, leading to the emergence of a groundbreaking discovery. This is The New Wave Ultimate Lifeform.

He whispered but before he could do anything Dusk grabbed his face and kissed Sonic passionately and deeply. "I'll save your world Dusk..I'll save mine too.." Sonic promised after pulling away and with that he sped off.. In hopes of restoring all worlds and making a better world for his lover..No matter what it took..
