Lighter hadn't felt real peace in years. He thought back on his life, back to when he was picked up on the side of an empty road by a young platinum blonde woman and a little girl with greenish-grey hair. When they found a little girl with blonde hair sitting in their truck, happy as a clam. When he was stolen from his home at 13. When he fought for his life in a twisted underground ring. When he watched as men twice his size fought and killed each other, and attempted to do the same to him. When he became the Champion, and held the title for 3 years. He felt a scowl rise in his face. Champion of who? Even after escaping the ring at 16 and making the massive trek back to his home, to safety... he didn't want revenge. Because it would mean he'd have to go back. Even as the peaceful years followed, when the Son's of Calydon came to be, he still couldn't ever shake the desire of closure for that horrible period of his life, or the fear of ever stepping foot in it again. But when a bounty for the very same man behind that horrific ring came to Lucy's attention, Lighter finds himself about to come face-to-face with his past again.

Lighter introduces Trigger to the Sons of Calydon, showing he is serious about her. Trigger is still unsure if she deserves that kind of love, but Lighter reminds her that real love doesn't have to be earned.

The Sons of Calydon are my favorite chapter in Zenless Zone Zero Season 1, so here's how I'd write more of the Sons of Calydon if they got their own anime or TV show. In this story, Caesar & Lighter are away fighting in a tournament which just leaves Lucy, Piper, and Burnice with Lucy as the leader of the gang.
