No blood drips through so I take that as a good sign, although he'll need stitches. Derek pulled me closer as the voices drew nearer. "Can you see them?" A radio cracks. "No," a female voice says right in front of us, "But I saw them go this way." I pushed myself deeper into the bush, careful not to bump into Derek as I go. A flashlight shines around us, then lands directly where we're sitting. Derek shifts uncomfortable next to me, afraid she found us. "Chloe," the woman says... |
