Every 16 year old gets taken away, not many come back. After she is taken, she will be put in a maze with a series of obstacles. Once you reach the center, you are safe. The trials were made to make society better, they said. To improve our intelligence and strength, lies. It was population control, and only the best survived. Most die though. Jess has to discover who she is in the trials, is she strong or weak? Will Jess make it out, or will the trials consume her, just like it has to countless others?
