Weird panic attacks, him screaming for help, and finally he goes to the medic for help. But the medic makes it worse. Now, Constantine is Soul Counterpartless. Shariah, his Counterpart, has disappeared. Now Constantine has befriended a mysterious group of other teens. They have their Counterparts. Until after Constantine meets them. Instead, she finds herself pulled into a world of magic in hopes of saving her best friend and becoming someone that matters. ✶✶✶ Excerpt: I touch the sandy bottom with my hand, and turn around to resurface, but as I push off the ground, something tugs at my ankle. Panic rockets through me, but I quickly remind myself that it's probably seaweed or something. I continue to swim to the surface, but the tug keeps trying to bring me back down. Suddenly, fear closes up my throat, and my already struggling lungs seem to collapse in terror. I can see above the surface, see Christi's vibrant purple swimsuit― Then, darkness.
