Thirteen is a curse for Britney Hayes. On her birthday, she is the unlucky one to be cursed, in fact. Darkness is inside of her, lurking in the deep. Any time it appears, she dies again but lives. It possesses her to do things she never thought she'd do, to do things she can't imagine. The darkness inside controls her every move sometimes. Every breath. Every painful drip of blood. The Darkness brings pain, agony, torture beyond anything. But then it might kill her too.

A girl named Willow was born without emotions. She sees the world differently to everyone around her. One day she thinks she is not worthy of life so she tries to kill herself but a strange boy from her school stops her. Willow and the boy soon finds themselves running for their lives from creatures that shouldn't even exist. Willow doesn't know what will happen next, but she'll just have go with it.

"I don't have a soul anymore because I "don't care" I gave up everything because I "don't care"!" she exclaimed in his face, pinning him to the wall with her forearm to his throat. She was stronger then he ever thought in that moment he saw her as a wild flame, a hurricane, a force to be reckoned with. She continued in a quieter voice, "I did all of it for you, so don't you DARE say or think that I never cared." Her words hung in the air as she turned away. They were unbreakable. Would have died in a heartbeat for one other. But when Marius is on his death bed it was her that made the sacrifice to save him when there was no hope. It was her who made the deal with the god who never gave a fair hand. But its Marius's fault when he turns on her and sends her on a downward spiral. There is a change of heart, another deal made, and 7 days to pick up the pieces as the storm is raging on. Marius is in love with a girl who cannot feel, and he has 7 days to make the soulless girl feel something towards him before it is too late. If he fails, they both die. Sacrifice has such vast meaning....
