The rain never really stops-and neither does the music.
Alexis has her life mapped out: pass her finals, secure her business degree, and keep her family afloat. No distractions. No detours. Especially not the kind that come with long hair, a dangerous voice, and a habit of stealing purple Sharpies.
But when her younger sister starts sneaking out to see a band called Soundgarden, Alexis steps into a world she never planned to touch-dimly lit bars, loud guitars, and a rising scene that feels like it's about to explode.
And then there's Chris.
Tall. Intense. Infuriatingly confident. A man who looks like trouble and sounds like something she can't get out of her head. What starts as irritation turns into curiosity... then something a lot harder to ignore.
As late nights blur into stolen moments and sharp-tongued banter turns into undeniable chemistry, Alexis finds herself caught between two worlds-one built on responsibility, the other on raw, electric possibility.
Because in a city on the edge of something big,
sometimes the biggest risk...
is letting yourself fall right in the middle of it. 😏
