A/N - This is a Hetalia Fanfic so if you have never seen the anime or are familiar with the Manga you will be confused and lost. When they were very young, however both their mother and sister's empires fell and the two personifications disappeared. When a misunderstanding makes North Italy cross over the border from this world to an afterlife state the nations have to act fast. There is a realm where the fallen nations and fallen empires dwell and time is running out for Feliciano. As the hours go by in the real world South Italy grows weaker and weaker, without their combined strength Italy will fall. However, every empire must one day fall unless someone can save them. Sometimes sacrifice is of the heart.

I wanted to try my hand at angst so this was created... I don't usually like angst but I just had to let out all the feels. The world seems to be ending, but humanity is hiding under the hope that it is just a phase that will pass. Lovino has had problems before, but waking up with no one one else around and no food takes first place. He has a feeling that he has to find something, and it's not going to leave anytime soon. So he sets off into ash and danger to find it.
