My entry for the #SouthWestContest! Lisa's best friend, Isabelle decides to surprise her with a vacation to her dream destination, Palm Springs. Lisa plans to take all the pictures she can of the beautiful sights around the area, but traveling to a new place proves to be pretty intimidating for her. Can a kind stranger help her out?

I've been to Uganda twice, and each time has left an imprint on me. I learned the meaning of community, contentment, and hospitality. My soul was imprinted by Uganda, and my shoes stained by the dust of Mbale.

Part One: The night was dark and cold all you hear are gunshots in alleyways and people screaming I don't want to die please! Hi I am Anna the main character I will be telling the story the way I remember it by memory, of the way it was at that time to me this was just like yesterday thank you reader for being brave and reading this book thank you.

I get the opportunity to combine one of my favorite childhood memories, along with the joy it brings to remember every island or country I've visited. This is my submission for the South West contest and it is my true story. Enjoy!

My first time on a plane. Never had I gotten on a plane before. Much less to go to Europe. Spain to be more precise. No one with me and no previous experience. Sure I would meet my cousin over there but that didn't take away we were both departing from two different states and would arrive in two different planes.

The entire description lies in the title as there's not much to tell other than an old traveling experience. This short story isn't just oriented to the nice and kind experience of new travels and new worlds to explore but also to the importance of those elder and wise as well as the elder and childish. A story told to me by my grandfather, weather it's true ot not however I cannot say. Of course, that is, it was real to me every time I had heard it and it had a pretty straight up message that I hope, I can make as clear as my grandfather.
