When Chicago businessman is experiencing his lowest point due to his recent divorce, he unexpectedly finds solace on a friend's family ranch.

"Kiss, Marry, Kill Tate? It's your turn." Tate is a 16 year old girl who hates parties, but her outgoing friends lead her to one. That night they play a game of kiss, marry, kill but Tate's drink is spiked, causing her to black out. She wakes up in a van with a middle-aged, psychotic man saying she was now his daughter. She wants to break free but meets a boy named Finn, who is also held hostage. Finn wants to help Tate. But will she let him?

At a point where I feel like all my bad decisions seem to be hitting me at once, I was given a spark of inspiration that changed my life.

Ashlyn is 17 years old and she's being off to stay with the father she never knew existed. She's had a troubled past and her mother can no longer deal with her antics. Will she stick with this Bad girl rep or will this move be the start of New Beginnings.

This is a story about a child abandoned to the wolves at a young age. This child was completely different from all those around him. His name is Dallas Damien. Has Black hair and deep brown eyes with gold flex around his pupil. This is what makes him different from all those around him.

Hello! This is my submission for the southwest writing contest! It is based on an authentic experience. I have changed the names of people. I hope you enjoy it!

This is one of the stories that made me remember deeply my past and who I am now.

-----For privacy purposes my and my family names have been changed but this is a true story----- I met the love of my life when I was only 14 years old. We lived in one of those hopeless small towns. The kind where you either end up a teacher or sales associate at Walmart. I'm not saying either of these are bad but its not what I wanted. I wanted to be a performer, live my life on Broadway. Of course this was an unachievable dream not because I'm not talented but because when I turned 18 I found myself working as a CNA in a nursing home. The pull to care for others pushed down and drowned the side of me that wanted to be a star. My drive for the spotlight became a hunger to live for those I cared for. My high school sweetheart turned fiancée also had a drive to serve others. He spent 6 years as a vet tech and on October 9th, 2019 he shipped off to bootcamp. I found myself in new roles. In a matter of months I had become a wife, I had a new job, and both my brothers (whom recently shipped to bootcamp) had graduations coming up. Just when the dust was settling my new husband called me. He had gotten orders. My personal experiences in different places!!!!

Jaime isn't like other girls, despite being into girls. She's always come across as a tomboy, always appearing disinterested in everything in her boring life thus far. Thankfully for her, her boring life is forever changed by the seas when she goes for what should've been a simple swim. After all, what could be more interesting than being claimed by the sea, as one of its own?

Many people never get to experience many things outside of their comfort zone. That's not how this couple wanted to live.

What would a world be without smiles or tears would it be full of joy or would it be sad?

Jameel Anderson is a 19-year black male heading on a trip to San Jose, Costa Rica. Before his first semester at Georgia Tech University, he had shared with his family that he was gay. They do not accept his sexuality. Jameel must deal with his parents not speaking to him. On top of him stressing about struggling in school, he decides to study abroad. While preparing to travel for the first time on a plane, he meets a boy that could change his life.

Aida Lancelan is a girl with a bubbly personality. She is a medical student who lives on residence and is attending her last year in Phoenix college. Damon Salvatore is a smart, arrogant, spoiled guy who believes he can get whatever he wants. He is studying business in the same collage as Aida.

When a simple trip to go see my friends, turns into a whole new adventure. Opening my eyes to the world for the first time and meeting new people, that I'll never see again but have impacted my life.
