In November 1995 we were travelling around the North Island of New Zealand looking for the place where Tamatea who swallowed, climbed and jumped mountains, known as thick knees, played his flute to his loved one. Too eager to get there only to go back again, we suddenly found ourselves quite literally upside down in a hole. We needed a hero and he appeared in an instant; our very own Caractacus Pott. With a good dose of kindness, a roar from his tractor and a lot of endeavor, he soon got us to roll with it again, and although Tamatea was never found, our adventurous spirit was rekindled.

"Kiss, Marry, Kill Tate? It's your turn." Tate is a 16 year old girl who hates parties, but her outgoing friends lead her to one. That night they play a game of kiss, marry, kill but Tate's drink is spiked, causing her to black out. She wakes up in a van with a middle-aged, psychotic man saying she was now his daughter. She wants to break free but meets a boy named Finn, who is also held hostage. Finn wants to help Tate. But will she let him?

As she gets ready to travel for the first time, a thought comes to mind: Can I be able to navigate the airport without the help of my mom? She has always helped her communicate with the hearing world up until now. But now she feel is her turn to figure out how to navigate the hearing world all by herself. **I do not own the picture on the cover. How does anyone breathe with so much salty air and greenery after being inside for almost a year? Now I am expected to enter that vast bright blue shimmering water from this dark jagged dark volcanic rock? What have I gotten myself into? Will anyone help me get out of this?
