(thinking abt the fact that bnha is over and in my mind midoriya will forever be a quirkless teacher at Yuuei and nothing more. because that's how his story ended. the greatest hero who never got recognized. the greatest hero who gave it his all and got nothing in return.) /// He gave so much to the world of heroics and got nothing back in return. (The ramble-y bit from my Google Doc: He'll still have his provisional license until the next exam is held-when he's a second year. He can still get his pro hero license, maybe be a twilight hero like Eraserhead. He'll just have to do his best and give it all he's got. Kouta calls him "Deku-sensei" in the last chapter. I have hope he becomes a pro hero, even if it's just to teach at Yuuei. They only hire pro heroes-at least, that's how it looks to me.) /// This draft got totally out of hand. I only wanted to write about post-canon Midoriya after reading the final chapter (and skipping like all the ones before it-). Here's the note I wrote at the top of my Google Doc: Good grief, these characters really ran away without me! I started writing and wasn't really sure where I wanted this to go (other than towards canon Izuku being a teacher and the stuff he does along the way that doesn't happen in the manga) and then my fingers wouldn't stop typing and SOMEONE (Katsuki) had to open his BIG, DUMB mouth and then the Wild, Wild Pussycats got involved, and my brain said: "Ah, yes, these 30-some-year-olds would be great mentors/family-like people!" and then this happened. Garbage. Fiens. Scums. They have been called many names, but only one was true, thieves - master ones at that. No one knew their faces. They were completely safe. Until their names got leaked out by a troublesome ex-member. Now the great Phantom Thieves are on the run. This time with a witty and cunning hostage, Kaitie Holt, a fifteen-year-old. She was widely known as the smartest girl in the kingdom. The girl was even rumored to be the Royal Tutor, even at a young age.
