Before the events of SA2, StH, SxShG, and others, Maria Robotnik was taken from the only home she ever knew, and given a chance to return and heal. In this new chapter, she finds herself connected to a creation designed to aid in her recovery. Initially, there's a sense of uncertainty between them, but as time passes, a bond begins to form. Yet, lurking in the shadows is a sinister figure with plans to exploit her newfound companion, putting the world she cherishes in jeopardy. What can a frail girl like Maria do against such overwhelming darkness? Is there any hope for saving the Earth? And even more daunting, will she have to make a heart-wrenching choice between her beloved friend and the fate of the planet?

Maria tells Shadow allllll the wonderful tales of earth, as they both aspire to visit one day and enjoy all life down below. Shadow adores her to the core, as he's eventually left with nothing left of his precious friend. Just an old, 50 year old copy of a photo.

Sonic fights some G.U.N. bots one late night and guess who shows up? after helping him, he was about to chaos control away, so Sonic hurriedly grabbed his hand and teleported them to a whole new place.

This fan fiction will go into detail about Shadow's complicated past, and will start with his creation on the ARK. Shadow is battling memories, mind-control, and struggling to find his true identity. Is he a Hero? A Villain? A Mercenary who cares for nothing but self gain? Or will he withhold nothing in his quest for revenge? He must discover who he truly is, and in the process, unearth the truth behind Maria's TRUE last request. I portray Shadow as a character who is torn between personalities. Even I don't know if he's innocent, or guilty. Only the end will tell true, and there is a journey awaiting for those who will follow it until the finish. Please comment with your opinions!

Shadow the Hedgehog is a young creation who has lived with his friend Maria aboard the Space Colony ARK for as long as he's been alive. No one on the ARK expects everything to go wrong in an instant, but a G.U.N. attack on the ARK causes just that to occur. Shadow is blasted down to the planet by Maria, her last wish for him to give everyone on Earth a chance to be happy by protecting the planet. This story picks up as Shadow, still trapped in the escape pod, is captured by G.U.N. after the organization fails to kill him. Shadow is thrown into stasis, but when he awakes he is shocked to find that no one awaits him outside the tube. Unbeknownst to Shadow, Doctor Eggman was driven away before the madman could contact his grandfather's creation. Cast out on his own on planet Earth (separate from Mobius), Shadow struggles to maintain hope with G.U.N. once again hunting him. Meanwhile, G.U.N. Commander Abraham Tower nurtures a hatred of the weapon he thinks killed Maria. Shadow suspects horrible things await him if he is captured by the Guardian Units of Nations, and knows he can't let such a thing happen. But, what will become of The Ultimate Lifeform when G.U.N. does find him? Will he be returned to stasis? Killed? Experimented on? And what happens when the Commander realizes Shadow isn't the monster Tower took him to be? Find out as Shadow navigates a strange new world filled with both friends and enemies, as our young hero strives to stay alive against the odds. 50 years ago a man was tasked to bring humanity to a new level, an age of immortality. Gerald Robotnik would take the impossible task but with a separate goal in mind. These are the events that lead to the creation of the ultimate lifeform.

After another attempted failure in creating a cure for Maria, Professor Gerald Robotnik was getting desperate. His star pupil, Doctor Maci Garcia, offered a solution, creating the Ultimate Cure, Project: EMBER. Under the guidance of her professor, Doctor Maci was successful in creating Project: EMBER. Not ready to be introduced to the others, Ember was kept away in a different place in the Ark. When her test results came up with a high success rate for a cure, she was soon introduced to Maria, Abe, and Shadow. And thus a somewhat beautiful friendship blossomed. But it didn't last for long. News of Project: EMBER and Project: SHADOW reached the officials on Earth and they sent G.U.N. Agents to shut it down. Doctor Maci was killed while protecting Ember. Professor Gerald and Abe were captured. While protecting her friends, Ember was shot and presumably 'killed' alongside Maria. But thanks to her strong healing powers, Ember survived her fatal wounds and was secretly taken to G.U.N. HQ. After being brainwashed, re-worked, re-trained, and re-named, she was no longer Ember: The Ultimate Cure, but Tempest: The Ultimate Weapon that G.U.N. had always wanted. Tempest was placed in suspended animation until she was needed. But when Abraham Towers took over as Commender of G.U.N. and recruited Shadow as a G.U.N. Agent, rougue and former G.U.N. Agents joined forces to overthrow the Commender. They released Tempest to have her work under them only for it to backfire in the worst way possible. Freshly awoken, confused, and angry, she unleashed her full power, threatening to destroy everything and everyone. Team Dark were send out with one mission: Eliminate Tempest. But when faced with this force of nature, they soon realized they would need help from some 'unnessesary' backup.
