Disclaimer: This is an AU Warhammer with some lore details that are heavily inspired by @Sagas1023 story. ______________________________ It was the 31st Millennium. Mankind faced one of the bloodiest wars ever witnessed not only by the galaxy, but by the universe itself. For tens of thousands of years, humanity had lived in what many believed to be a perpetual utopia, a golden age born from technological wonders beyond the imagination of lesser civilizations. Alongside their ancient allies and former rivals, they built a vast alliance that spanned the entire galaxy and reached heights that seemed impossible. But even such a civilization was not eternal. From beyond the known dimensions came an unknown and endless race of abominations that consumed every corner in the universe. One by one, stars went dark, galaxies were reduced to nothing and entire civilizations that had lived for millions of years were wiped away. After 100 years of desperate war, the surviving remnants of humanity and their allies made one final attempt to escape extinction. Using a device forged from the combined genius of human and xeno technology, they tore open reality itself and fled from the tendrils of the Great Blight that unraveled creation itself. But an incident happened. Instead of merely crossing into another universe, the refugee ship was thrown through infinite dimensions until it arrived in a new multiverse, one whose laws and systems were completely foreign to them.

The Starvation Protocol The universe was supposed to be empty. It was supposed to be safe. Millions of years ago, a catastrophic energy crisis shattered a civilization that had seamlessly fused hyper-advanced technology with their own DNA. Desperate to survive the death of their home star, a corrupted military leader named Malakor engineered a monstrous salvation: the Soul Engine. A planetary matrix designed to strip the bio-electrical currents from living, intelligent beings to power a cold, dead world. To stop the techno-organic plague from consuming the galaxy, an ancient civilization enacted the ultimate sacrifice: the Starvation Protocol. They systematically cleansed the surrounding sectors of all complex life, starving Malakor's forces into engineered stasis. Over millions of years, the galaxy healed, forgetting the nightmare sealed away inside black vaults. Now, humanity has expanded into the deep unknown. Driven by corporate greed and reckless curiosity, a heavily armed salvage fleet lands on a seemingly dead world of obsidian plains, towering spires, and rusted mechanical titans. They believe they have discovered the greatest archaeological find in human history. They are wrong. They are merely loud, arrogant mice scurrying into the tomb of a starving titan. The human body is the perfect organic battery. With every human heart that stops, with every corporate fusion reactor siphoned dry, the violent crimson veins of a dead world spark back to life. The monolithic army is awakening from its millions-of-years slumber. And as a single human survivor makes one desperate act of defiance, she triggers an unimaginable catastrophe. A city-sized orbital carrier carrying more than one hundred thousand people falls screaming out of the sky-straight into the waiting jaws of the machine. Malakor is waking up. He no longer seeks survival. He seeks dominion. Our stars will fuel his kingdom, and humanity itself will become the foundation of his eternal empire.

One year has passed since the end of the First Contact War. As the Citadel commemorates the anniversary of the conflict that forever changed the galaxy, the fragile peace between humanity and the turians is already beginning to crack. On the fringes of Citadel space, a radical human group led by Jack Harper captures a turian hostage in a desperate search for the secrets hidden aboard a crashed turian vessel. Their actions mark the birth of an organization that will one day be known across the galaxy as Cerberus. Far from the political spotlight, human colonies are under siege by ruthless bands of renegade batarians, leaving innocent civilians caught in a conflict few seem willing to acknowledge. Meanwhile, mysterious signals echo from the darkest reaches of space, stirring fear among the oldest members of the Citadel Council. Memories of ancient wars resurface as whispers spread throughout the galaxy. Are the long-extinct Rachni returning... or has an even greater threat awakened? As if that were not enough, buried secrets from both humanity and the turian hierarchy begin to surface-truths capable of destroying the hard-won peace forged after the First Contact War. If exposed, they could ignite another interstellar conflict before the wounds of the last have healed. To uncover the truth, the Citadel forms a multinational task force composed of soldiers, scientists, diplomats, and specialists from across known space.. But in a galaxy built on lies, every answer comes with a price... and some secrets were never meant to be found.

As Elior cares for the fragile, remarkable girl, the two form a bond deeper than either has known, building a hidden life together on the edges of a world that is not meant to see them. ''Man's best friend.'' ''The one you least suspect.'' Picture this; Two extraterrestrial operatives. One black, one white. One curly, one silky. One diligent, one... well -- not as diligent. Nevertheless, both have been paired together, and assigned to a Low-Priority Celesphere by the name of Earth. Their objective is loud and clear: 1.) Blend in among the dominant inhabitants without raising suspicion. 2.) Gather valuable intel on said inhabitants' strengths and weaknesses. 3.) Exploit those weaknesses and usurp the planet as their own territory. Like a wolf in sheep's clothing; And all in the name of the ever-expanding Cana'Nin Empire. Rest assured, these pitiful Earthlings won't know what hit them. That is, if Ms. Adrieau's two "pets" ever get around to it. Though to cut 'em some slack, planetary conquest is no simple task. Especially when there're squirrels to investigate, mail carriers to monitor, and belly rubs to be had.

"The whole of MATRIX-29 is being pulled into it," Abraham cried. The end of the universe is not what we think it is. Abraham Claude Kennette, a retired professor of physics, is convinced that the universe has a dimensional end. Driven by an ancient Chinese folktale, he discovers a new particle that is to become the greatest breakthrough in the world of science, dissolving all of mankind's inventions to nothingness. The scientist, with the help of his friend, Vincent Greywood, builds the MATRIX-29, an inter-dimensional spacecraft. Harnessing the potential of the particle that makes any object travel at the speed of light, they dash off together across the stars and space. And, then, something terrible happens. Note: I wrote this book when I was fourteen. Kindly point out the mistakes, if there are any. Criticism is welcomed. Hope you enjoy reading the book!
