With dungeons and events staged to get rare items from time to time to drive up player retention. When one day during one of these events where all the players had vanished one day. Without an rhyme or reason 50 million people disappeared world wide. Causing an uproar as millons disappear with people saying different things on the event. Some said it was divine judgment while some blamed foreign nations for using a expermental weapon. All that meant nothing when the world government started to investigate the occurrence. Forming a special task force of investigator's for this case hand picked across the globe. Only to come out empty handed after 6 years of investigation to the dismay of all the families of those effected. Being able to concluded that all those disappeared had been online during the Evercry event. After a 3 more years people began to forget about the 'evercry disappearances' as the world moved on.
