Dusk Stalk, a young warrior in Spark Clan who has one allegiance - to the Star Runners - is forced to swear allegiance to a group of rogues called the Claw Tribe. She soon realises that her Clan Leader, Deputy and Elite Warriors have a second Allegiance. The Clans were formed one year after the events of the last book related to the Dawn of the Clans arc. A young cat called Spark had the idea of the forest cats, so went off and journeyed with some cats and formed Spark Clan. Spark Clan acts like SkyClan but is really different.

After a illness went around the whole world and infected twolegs, some cats had began to act strange. What should have killed half dead cats had brought them back, and brought them back hungry. The same illness changed the way twolegs had acted, making twolegs feared by all clans. Where there were once happy homes, there is now flesh eating Biters. What will become of the clans if they can't save themselves from this?
