Rotten to the Deck is an epic Descendants adventure that redefines the "Core Four" as a "Sovereign Six." While Mal, Jay, and Carlos have their own agendas, the heart of this story lies in the chaotic, high-fashion chemistry between Zachary "Zack" Sparrow and Evie.
The Premise
When Prince Ben's proclamation brings the Villain Kids to Auradon, he doesn't just invite the children of the "Big Four" villains-he invites the legacies of the seas. Zack Sparrow (the flamboyant, fast-talking wildcard) and Liam Turner (the stoic, master blacksmith) are plucked from the grime of the Isle's docks to join Mal's inner circle.
The Core Conflict
The mission is simple: Steal the Fairy Godmother's wand. But for Zack and Liam, the mission is complicated by their own shadows:
Zack vs. Evie: Evie wants a prince and a castle; Zack offers her a compass that doesn't point north and a life of unpredictable freedom. As they navigate Auradon, Evie must decide if she's chasing a royal title or the pirate who actually sees her for more than just her "fairest" face.
Liam's Burden: While the other VKs struggle with their parents' evil, Liam struggles with a father who wasn't a villain, but a "hero" who left him behind in the soot of the Isle.
The "Legacy" Twist
The arrival of the VKs creates a rift in Auradon's social hierarchy. Zack and Liam find themselves face-to-face with their "Heroic" counterparts: Henry Turner and Carina Smyth.
Zack is the chaotic mirror to Carina's logic.
Liam is the hardened edge to Henry's idealized heroism.
Story Highlights
Pirate-Punk Fashion: Evie's "Auradon Makeovers" for the group, blending her regal blue aesthetics with Zack's weathered leather and silver trinkets.
High-Stakes Heists: Utilizing Zack's "Sparrow Luck" and Liam's forging skills to bypass Auradon's magical security.
The Choice: When the coronation arrives, the "Sovereign Six" must decide if they are truly rotten to the core, or if they are ready to sail toward a new horizon.
