When young women are being brutally murdered in a small Indiana town, SSA Hotchner brings his team to catch the killer. When a local resident, Carter Henly, begins to figure out connections in the case, she turns to Reid for help. Will Reid be able to stop the killer before he strikes again? Will he also be able to get Carter to fall for him, as he is for her?
