Written with a writing prompt: You were born with special eyes, the sea was as clear as glass to you, by the time you got old enough to join a ship's crew, you were smart enough to not tell them about everything you saw below the waves.

There are rumors spreading of a new cult going around. They have been seen throughout Sorinieth, from the Windswept Plateau to the Southern Icefields. What that is most known about them is the Cult's obsessions with Special Eyes, especially those with Primal Eyes. They worship the Primals as if they were deities. Most have brushed off this silly little Cult as some sort of fad that will vanish as fast it had appeared. But, it seems others are starting to actually believe in the message of the Cult...

Emilia was born with a rare power. She has been safe for years, but she then gets kidnapped by the people working for the government. Rose is a rune-user, a being whose stories exist from even before ancient times. These rune-users possess the appearance of any other regular human, but what separates them from the rest are their unusually colored eyes-eyes that are hidden from any normal being. These rune-users can use and activate the powerful runes that their eye colors represent, such as dark magic or fire magic. A rune-user's purpose has always been one thing; to defeat the evil in the world. Over time though, some rune-users have chosen the wrong side, and become such evil. They hide in plain sight and prey on the weak-whether they're a rune-user or human. For years, high-schooler Rose Maladan, has been running around thwarting the constant uprisings that have taken place within her school and around the small town she lives in, constantly battling the stress of a normal high-schooler's life and that of a rune-user. Although, one day, she meets a boy in the boy's bathroom who goes by the name Nathan-a fellow rune-user who had yet to learn of his full potential. After meeting the boy, she seems to keep meeting other rune-users left and right. It proves a challenge to rely on them all, when she has been mostly independent since that day, only relying on herself and her faithful companion that has been by her side since she was a young child; Leoric, a raven follower. However, the culprit causing these harmful occurrences is closer than any of them could have thought. Rose will learn something, something she could have never ever thought possible. And, it won't be long until they strike. Their main target and focus; Rose Maladan.
