Eccentricities. Pocket-watches. Rude, rusty roses. A distinct lack of companionship (or high-born manners, for that matter). These are the elements that encapsulate 5513 day-old Alice Alexandria Thicket's simple life, much to the dismay of her fading socialite Mama. Her obsession with counting days and disregard for upper class Anglemire norms only ensures an isolated life, which the girl secretly does not mind; those who stay too near Alice too long suffer her propensity for causing unexplainable blackouts, losing hours or days at a time - a phenomenon she loathes and fears. But upon meeting Dmitry Phineas Kolt, an odd elderly antiquities dealer whose cheshire grin masks impossible knowledge, Alice Alexandria Thicket begins to uncover the true nature of her curse... and the gifts that it may possess. But when figures from Alice's future show up to condemn her actions in their past, the girl's trust in her elderly friend is tested when it appears that his adventurous history is about to spill into Alice's present. Armed with just her trusty pocket-watch, an impulsive tongue, penchant for counting time, and a mysterious bequeathment by name of The Moment Glass, Alice Alexandria Thicket hurdles into the future that has so catastrophically threatened her present, and does so by stepping into the past.

'The innocent shall suffer for the guilty.' I mean c'mon we've all heard that one before. But what if the innocent suffers for their own crimes they've committed. What if the innocent didn't stay innocent? Meet Zane, a young boy who've earned the nickname 'Angel' for, his kind nature and willing to help others no matter what the cost. And later on in his life this goodie-two-shoes goes bad. It all started with his beloved parents' death in a fire and then he sent to an orphanage where he was seriously bullied to the point where he runs away. After that it all goes downhill for the unfortunate boy. With each hurtful comment, each painful punch and with each daily rejection Zane develops to the point of snapping, until one day he does - and isn't pretty. Zane turns rebellious and hides secrets about his past and himself. But coming up with his personality he's 'All bark and no bite'. As Zane lives a life of agony, regret and loneness he runs into three boys (literally) around his age that move into his small city; Alma Bruder. Who attempt to make... friends with him! Guess these guys don't know about Alma Bruder's well-known thief and troublemaker; 'Angel'. And as time goes on Zane lets them in on more than he wants about him. And a brotherly bond that this outcast always needed and sought for will form. Lessons that the boys didn't know existed within each other, will be taught and learned from this outcast. Can these new comers in Zane's life change the city's devil back into an angel?

Daffodil and Pupcake are friends. Probably the best of friends. They were born as unique specimens on planet earth. no one else is like them. this adds to the funniness of their encounters, and some of their differences highlight the truth that even best friends fight.

There were people born with special gifts--gifts that separated them from the rest of humanity. They were called Nagykan. Many Nagykan were perfectly harmless having simple gifts--the power to make water warm, for there to never be dust within 12 feet of themselves, to be always on time. But a few powerful Nagykan were born with great and terrible gifts which they used for selfish things. These Nagykan gave a bad name to Nagykan everywhere and soon, anyone showing signs of any gifts at all, were shunned by ordinary people. The king tried to protect them but he couldn't stop the town people from rising up against known Nagykan and occasionally burning them at the stake. Allegra knew of this so she wasn't surprised when they came for her mother. After losing her family at the age of six, she is sent to live with a kind old woman. After several years, she too passes on and Allegra is left alone. As a young Nagykan, she must survive on her own. She settles herself in a quiet town in hopes of living a normal life and finding happiness. However, there is nothing normal about this young Nagykan, and her life soon takes on a wild twist when Queen Agnes and Crown Prince Weylin show up at her door. What ensues is far from anything Allegra could have ever imagined.
