Honestly never thought I would ever itch to write based on this particular one - would have thought the others would come banging on my muse's door first. But hehh. Sorry for the bad cover, I was kinda rushed. Anyways, this is a story I'm planning on publishing for real, so I'm just going to give you a small part to read. (Blurb) The disease started at 6:43 PM April 30st, called habiti, and it spread like wildfire through a forest. Thirteen-year-old Alexis Thret's little brother is sick with this disease. 'And the people who became sick--oh, they were never the same. Some acted confused, looking around and crying like a baby. Some snarled like wild animals and attacked everyone with a thirst for blood that no one had never seen before. Some acted like a tame animal, purring and walking on all fours. Some barked. But that wasn't the worst part. Some of them... some of them stared at you with blank, unknowing eyes. They ate and drank when they needed to, used the bathroom, but when they spoke it was just gibberish. And they had no recollection of anything. And some, when they smiled it was a madman's smile, as if something inside them was shattered beyond repair. They would stare at you like some creepy thing, then their eeiry smile would morph into was seemed to be confusion.' Alexis is the only one who can save her little brother and the rest of humanity. Along the way, she will have to make sacrifices, for no cure comes without a cost, And she might have to pay the highest price. Her life.
