In a world that once worshipped heroes and now fears them, Captain Tootsie is a relic-an ex-hero who hung up his costume after watching ideals rot into authority and justice turn into control. The age of colorful morality is over. In its place stands a brutal new order led by figures like Black Terror and Dynamic Man, heroes who decided the world works better when ruled by fear, efficiency, and "necessary" violence.
As crime vanishes and freedom follows it into the grave, those who refuse to conform are hunted, erased, or forced into silence. Some heroes submit. Others disappear. A few-like Tootsie-remain dangerously out of step with the times, clinging to the belief that power does not grant the right to decide who deserves to live.
Into this broken world comes Mitchell, a young girl awakening to an ancient and terrifying force: the mantle of the Green Sorceress, a power tied to balance, nature, and ruin itself. To some, she is a child who needs protection. To others-Heaven, Hell, and the new heroic regime alike-she is a looming catastrophe that must be controlled, weaponized, or destroyed before she fulfills a prophecy of world-ending rebirth.
Caught between divine judgment, infernal manipulation, authoritarian "heroes," and cosmic destiny, Mitchell becomes the axis upon which the future turns. Connor, a reckless would-be hero with raw power and stubborn hope, stands between her and annihilation. Ayesha, a sorceress who understands the cost of magic, tries to guide her without breaking her. And Captain Tootsie-haunted by past failures and visions of what Mitchell might become-faces a final reckoning: remain a man who walked away, or become a hero again in a world that no longer wants them.
As angels mobilize, demons hunt, and heroes become tyrants, the story asks a brutal question:
Is the world saved by control-or by mercy?
