Beneath the rusted bones of a dying city, something ancient stirs. The undercity breathes in smoke and exhales silence. Gears turn behind walls slick with oil and shadow. Steam hisses through broken pipes. Above it all, the Brass Court watches, masked, eternal, and cruel. Their grip is law. Their justice, a brand seared into flesh. Far below, in alleys where disease spreads faster than hope, bounty hunters and broken souls scavenge for survival. Guilds trade blood for coin. Whispers of rebellion drown in alcohol and gunfire. But deeper still, past the foundations, beneath the cathedrals and forgotten homes, there are older things. Things with teeth and laughter. Things with purpose. When a bounty appears with no posted reward, only a name carved in ink, it sets off a chain of events the city is not ready for. A trap, mechanical and merciless. A church steeped in rot and memory. A transformation that burns away the past and replaces it with something cold, beautiful, and monstrous. What rises from the ashes is not entirely alive. Not entirely human. Clockwork stirs beneath skin. Eyes glow where none should. And across the fractured city, rumors grow, of a figure that moves like smoke and strikes like vengeance. The machines run on blood now. And the price for salvation has never been higher.

Meet Cassie, or should I say Casey, Gates, a sixteen year old girl who came back after summer as a different person. She changed so much that nobody could recognise her when she came back to school. Cassie was a sweet, innocent girl, who was a fly on the wall at school, but now she's Casey, a bad-ass, carefree girl who you better watch out for. The question on everybody's lips is what changed Cassie Gates?

This includes quite a few of my short stories, speeches and possibly a poem or two that I've written in Year 8 and Year 9 (I could only find one for Year 7). So I hope you enjoy these cause they took quite a bit. There is a trigger warning here as some stories contain elements of death, suicidal thoughts, PTSD, and other difficult topics.

This book is to help people with their speeches. I'm writing speeches to help people make speeches for their school or office programs. I'll take some serious topics as well as light topics. Just wait for the combination of speeches published in this book.
