*Please reid full description (see what I did there?)* Take a deep breath. It's only you're dream job on the line' you tell yourself as you patiently wait in the elevators. It's my first day working for the BA fuding U. I've worked super hard for this day to happen and nobody could stop me now; not even the toothpaste stain on my shirt I just noticed. Damn it! I'm still 15 minutes early, I can try to get the toothpaste off. I wander around, trying to find the bathrooms. "Are you lost?" You turn around and see a tall lanky man around your age. "Yes, as a matter of fact, I am." The team quickly takes Rowan in as one of their own and makes her feel like family. Everyone except Dr. Spencer Reid. They've only known each other for a day but she already finds him attractive. They're a lot alike. Rowan has 4 PhDs, 3 BAs, can read 22,000 wpm, has an eidetic memory, and an IQ of 187. The whole team notices how Spencer acts differently around Rowan, but nobody says anything to her about it. Rowan is a total badass and she knows it, but because she knows it, she fights harder, which is what gets her injured at times. Over the next couple of weeks, Spencer has to continuously watch Rowan get hurt on the job and that makes him realize how important life is, especially hers. (TRIGGER WARNINGS: child molester, homophobia, schizophrenia, anxiety, in detail panic attacks and sensory overloads, depression, mentions of self harm, bullying, death, divorce) spencer reid was the nerd, the outcast. derek morgan was the jock, loved by everyone. both had their demons, though they didn't know about eachothers. derek had taken his anger out on spencer, beating him up, and bullying him every day, but maybe that was just a way for him to cover up what he was going through. maybe he was just too scared to admit he might have a thing for the child prodigy, the weird kid. maybe there was a reason spencer smiled at him in the halls, and wrote little smiley faces on the back of the homework he did for him. maybe spencer could see the scared little boy inside who was covered by the bully derek acted like. spencer had his demons too. he had no one to help him through them. maybe they just needed eachother.

y/n is a new recruit at the bau. she's the youngest, spencer reid being second youngest but he's still 4 years older. y/n notices some things spencer does that she almost considers flirting, but brushes it off as him just being friendly.
