Besides, it's always been true: falling in love with your best friend never works out. And she'd never want to lose Peter. Peter Parker might be falling in love with his best friend, Izzy de Bracko. When he swings high about the Queens streets, all he can think about are her eyes and the way her voice clears up when she laughs. He hates lying to her about the so-called "Stark internship," but he knows it's better this way. He can't lose her like he's lost everyone else. He can't lose his best friend.
