This takes place during when Goblin sinks the original Helicarrier and takes place in the Ultimate Spiderman universe. What tears them apart brings them together. Spiderman has been presumed dead after the Helicarrier went down. Spiderman returns, but to find some new feelings.

This is my own take on there relationship, they are each 18 and in college now and it takes place 2 years after the shows fanale.
