So Happy Tree Friends (or Htf) is a cartoon show that is NOT made for kids (should take my own advise). It has lots of blood and body parts through out the show. It's characters are very unique and all die in different ways, but can never truly die. This will be a X Reader book, but I will do ships if requested. The reader will mostly be Non-binary unless requested otherwise, however I am not good with writing Non-binary characters so please forgive me if I mess up. First book ever published!! The sound of the cold wind continued to blow strongly, the sky was as dark as ink, making the people quickly return home. There, in a corner of the alley, there was a young girl, ragged clothes, dusty body. She grabbed her knees with her hands, her body trembling by the cold. She had not eaten anything for days. Cat ears on her head fell down, her tail wrapped around herself to keep warm. "Am I going to die like this?" She thought. No house to stay, no food to eat through the day. She gradually became desperate, her body became cold. Flippy has always had to deal with his inner demon, Fliqpy. He is always forced to battle for control, forced to take pills, forced to live each day in paranoia because he doesn't want to hurt anyone anymore. Living in Happy Tree Friends Town, his life has only spiraled down due to the curse of those who reside and the amount of blood he sees in one day. Splendid has always been the clumsy, slightly dangerous, hero of Happy Tree Friends Town. Through the years he's lived there, he's finally reigned in his powers and can help stop more deaths instead of causing them. People aren't afraid of him, and they shower him with praise. So what happens when they actually meet face to face for the first time?

Guys we need to come to an agreement that Shifty Don't!! should totally be their ship name. Literally the funniest shit to me. -Also cover is to be changed, I just need to finish my drawing lol In this story it follows the dynamic between Shifty and Lifty's duo and how toxic the relationship between the two is. It explains their mental states and how eventually they're healed, while also explaining parts of their backstories to explain their behaviors. I decided to write Splendont as an oblivious character, since he's literally been trapped in a mirror for years, and Shifty as an insecure toxic person who grew up in a homophobic household and carried those ideas with him. (Hopefully that doesn't give away too much of the story while also giving you an idea of what you're getting into)
