Seeping thoughts, falling through quiet and estranged fingers. Can such fluid chaos be caught? Can it be taught to fly, its fear stopped? Out of the cage that sadness has wrought, into the open that freedom shakily bought.

The later days that start too soon yet end too fast That all seem to pass you by because you're stuck in the past Drifting and dwelling on a choke or a cough In your personal history it lies You sit and you dwell while its pushing you off While at times it stays hidden and at others it cries It cries for attention It cries to be loved You beg for redemption But the pain it has shoved It has shoved you to the brink of caving in So you turn to your closest kin they joke and pretend But they'll never forgive and they'll never help mend You're now on your own Since the scars have shown The later days that start out slow But in the end the loneliness will show
