Through nine symbolic eyeshadow shades, I explore the emotions that shaped me-from the sweetness of first love and the courage to love deeply, to the pain of betrayal, the weight of loss, and the quiet peace of letting go. Each poem is a reflection of a chapter I lived, a feeling I carried, and a lesson I learned. Together, these shades tell the story of how love changed me, broke me, rebuilt me, and ultimately taught me how to find light even in the darkest colors.

This powerful poem challenges the double standards placed on girls and women while boys and men are often given more freedom. It questions the harmful excuse, "What were you wearing?" and reminds us that clothing is never an invitation to stare, harass, or disrespect someone. The poem also calls on mothers and families to teach boys about respect, boundaries, self-control, and consent-not just teach girls how to cover their bodies. Why should boys be allowed to walk shirtless while girls are told they cannot wear shorts? Why are girls taught to change their clothes because men are looking, instead of teaching men to control their behavior? This is a call for parents, especially mothers, to raise boys who understand that a woman's body is not public property and that respect should never depend on what she wears. Our clothes are not consent. Our bodies are not invitations. Respect should have no dress code.

Description "We Have Lives to Live" is a powerful poem about the unfair expectations placed on young girls from childhood. While girls are often told to cook, clean, serve, and prepare themselves for marriage, boys are sometimes allowed to sit back and do nothing simply because they are boys. The poem challenges the belief that a girl's greatest purpose is to become a wife and please her husband. It reminds us that before she becomes someone's wife, she is a person with dreams, ambitions, talents, and a future of her own. This poem calls for a different kind of upbringing-one where both boys and girls learn responsibility, household duties, respect, independence , and compassion. "Good Enough" is a raw and unapologetic spoken word piece that dives deep into the struggle of identity, self-worth, and survival in a world that still places labels, stereotypes, and barriers on Black lives. Through powerful repetition and unfiltered honesty, the poem captures the weight of depression, the silence of invisibility, and the ever-present question: When will I be seen as enough? This piece weaves together the personal battle of inner darkness with the collective reality of systemic injustice, shining light on the pain of being overlooked, underestimated, and dehumanized. It is both a cry for recognition and a mirror held up to society's ongoing failures. More than just words, "Good Enough" is a testimony-an emotional journey that gives voice to the unheard, honors the resilience of the oppressed, and demands reflection from those who listen.

A Strangely wrapped gift is for the hopeless who need a friend for their late night talks. It's a book made with love.
