In a school where excellence is everything, two students stand at the top-rivals in both academics and sport. They push each other to the limit, challenging every boundary, every expectation. But beneath the fierce competition lies a secret neither dares to reveal-something that could change everything they thought they knew about each other... and themselves. In this high-stakes game of brains and strength, who will break first? And what happens when rivalry turns into something no one saw coming?

"A new opponent, the only one who can truly keep up with him: they won't stop until one has defeated the other, they won't give each other a break until the final whistle." For Kojiro, football is just a game, but a game he knows how to play perfectly: ever since he was little, he's always been a support system, a place to escape for a while, to escape from noisy thoughts and focus on what he does best; with a ball at his feet, he's unbeatable, which is why he's just become the captain of the team at Tokyo's most famous academy. Tsubasa loves football, it's a part of him he has never let go, a lifestyle, a passion. Having just moved to a new city, leaving behind the frenzy of Tokyo and too many memories, he will soon have to prove himself for what he is, and has always been: an incredible champion, to his new teammates to be able to access the tournament and demonstrate his worth to all those who have always underestimated him over the years. Soon, with the national tournament upon us, the two will be forced to bear each other on several occasions, to grow ever closer until, after a long and demanding path that will make them feel lost, broken and shattered, they'll understand each other's hidden pain. But will those encasing feelings for each other be enough? Until something dangerous, strong and impetuous is born, increasingly real, increasingly difficult to hide from their teammates. But will those feelings win their dubs, will them even last? As the final approaches, they will have to face numerous opponents, on and off the pitch, and come to terms with the fact that only one of them will win the final match and the other will lose, not just that match, but everything else with that.
