Things start to heat up with Merci and Beckham. Things in Merci's life starts changing and she ends up going farther in her soccer career which means time away from Beckham and her love life. After years of being away from Beckham, Merci ends up being in a relationship with now pro MLB star Jack Gray. After being united with Beckham again at a soccer function she realizes how much she missed being with him, now she is stuck between falling back in love with a man she hasn't seen in years, or being with the man who has been with her through thick and thin.
