Spot Conlon was the king of Brooklyn, after the strike he and his newsie buddies had had that previous year he realized that he was lonely. One of his buddies, Michael Eggs, brings in a new kid to the Brooklyn Newsies- this kid is quite... odd... This kid, Eli Kettle, is a mysterious young bloke. He's quiet and kind, he gets on Spot's nerves. Eli's politeness, the fact that he doesn't fight, everything was confusing to Spot yet he could never leave his side.

Crutchie x OC Davey x OC New newsies Stacks and Sketch stumble into the pape sellin business right at the beginning of the strike. They also happen to run into a certain Davey and Crutchie and both are absolutely smitten.
